This is the first time that John Cooper Clarke has performed at Ledbury since he headlined the first Festival 18 years ago. Now Britain’s best loved and most important performance poet, John Cooper Clarke is as vital now as he was in the 70s. He delivers acerbic, satirical, political and very funny verse in a unique rapid-fire performance style. His influence can to be heard for example in the satirical and keen social observations of the Arctic Monkeys. Alex Turner cites him as a huge inspiration. His show takes in his best loved work alongside brand new material.
