at Hellens Manor, Much Marcle ,Herefordshire

Christian Blackshaw Internationally acclaimed pianist and the Festival’s Artistic Director.

Markus Däunert Violin, Concertmaster Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestre, principal guest at the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

Maya Iwabuchi Volin, Concertmaster Philharmonia Orchestra of London, Leader Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

Máté Szücs Principal Viola of the Berlin Philharmonic.

Bruno Delepelaire First solo cellist of the Berlin Philharmonic, Berlin Piano Quartet and Quattuor Cavatini.

Masterclasses will take place during the four days of the festival, when the performing musicians will work with 10 young piano and string students from the best music schools in the country. On Sunday midday, the students will perform a final concert, demonstrating the insights achieved. Masterclasses are open to the public, and are a great opportunity to see the work in progress of a piece of music while learning from wonderful world-class musicians.

Ticketed pre-concert supper and glass of wine in the Stone Hall on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings for 40 people at 6:30pm. Hellens’ bar and tea room will be open during the festival or you might prefer to picnic during the day and enjoy our tranquil gardens with views to the Malvern Hills.
